The European Marketing Agency, based in Saltaire, by definition takes an international approach to business. The company who aim to assist companies with their export marketing activity have a truly multinational team employing over 30 European native language speakers covering 11 different languages from French to Norwegian and Polish to Spanish.
Referred to the RLN YH by UKTI, the Agency has put in place business language courses for non-native English speakers with the help of the RLN and Italian classes are under discussion.
Business Development Manager Steve Potts said: "It is useful to have an agency like the RLN in the region because we can turn to them for help on anything from language learning to offering work placements for international students. We believe in international business and this includes a developed language capability and a multilingual website."
The European Marketing Agency plans to join the growing army of Language Champions who help young people in the region experience first hand how important a part languages play in international business.
The European Marketing Agency was founded by Jim Hart, a firm believer in the benefits of a multilingual workplace and he himself speaks French, German and Spanish! The team is headed by Patrick Kavanagh, a Canadian familiar with the nuances of marketing in different languages and the language recruitment division is headed by Anna Ceder from Sweden who also speaks English and German.
